Earthquake destroys 2 houses in Bhattedanda village, Nepal, but all the toilets remain intact.
The hilly region surrounding Bhattedande village experienced an earthquake in the middle of 2011, destroying 2 houses and causing damage to others. No damage was done to the toilets constructed in the village, so, well done to the construction teams!

Parkes NSW. Quite a few years ago the municipality named this lane as a tribute to PP’s great grandfather Angelo Pholeros, the first Greek consul to NSW in the late 1800s. Bit of a controversial character apparently.
It borders the edge of Cooke Park, the location for the main stage during the Elvis Festival.....it then dog (mongrel?) legs into a backstreet lane.....before peetering out somewhere.
The spaceman came later.

15 October is Global Handwashing Day, a reminder in these critical COVID times of the difficulties faced by many populations in carrying out basic hygiene practices.
